Governors

Governors have a high-level oversight role in school, which includes responsibilities related to strategy, health and safety, improvements to the school facilities, and monitoring the curriculum, operating within a framework of national legislation and the policies of the local education authority and Academy Trust.  The Stanhope Primary School Local Advisory Committee (LAC) play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the school and challenging the school leaders to make sure every child 'excels'.

Governors meet a minimum of twice a term to ensure the requirements of the Academy Trust are met, however much more time is given for the benefit of the school.
